Free spaces. 110 Ways to encounter the World

Bürkel has constructed a wide landscape in seven horizontal strips, taking into account the colour perspective. The colouring is reduced to green, blue and violet and brightens towards the background. A veil of grey lies over everything due to the addition of white. The use of blue creates depth and a cool, airy atmosphere. The condensed area on the right is contrasted with the almost abstract section on the left. Together with the free brushstroke and the unpainted corners of the picture, this leads to the dissolution of the object.
