Free spaces. 110 Ways to encounter the World

Dreber was one of Ludwig Richter's favourite students and produced many nature studies in the area around Dresden around 1840. His early work is characterised by an impulsive drawing style with pencil and overlying pen. On the left in the foreground, two artists can only be guessed in front of their easels. Their luggage lies beside them on the path. The dynamic line image, together with the written notes of the colour and the mood values at the bottom right, conveys that this drawing was created quickly and probably during a hike with friends.
